Munich/Brussels, October 13th – As Europe gets ready to celebrate the Erasmus Days from October 12th to 17th, Flix and the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) are helping students get closer to the people, places and experiences that make Erasmus unique. Through their long-standing partnership, ESN members benefit from a 10% discount on FlixBus journeys, making it easier to travel to more than 8,000 Erasmus days taking place across Europe.
ESN is present in 44 countries and connects more than 400,000 students. Over the past five years, its cooperation with Flix has helped Erasmus students travel beyond their host cities, discover new destinations and experience more of Europe during their time abroad.
The Erasmus Days bring students and communities together through hundreds of events taking place across Europe and beyond. From cultural activities and language exchanges to international food festivals, talks and community events, the six-day celebration showcases what Erasmus+ is ultimately about: exchange, curiosity and connections across borders.
With its extensive network connecting cities across Europe, gives students the freedom to turn the journey itself into part of their Erasmus experience. During the Erasmus Days, ESN members can use their exclusive 10% discount to travel to events, meet fellow students and discover the cities hosting the celebrations.
Alexander Schlüter, VP Marketing & Customer Product at Flix, said: “Erasmus turns Europe from a map into something you actually experience: new cities, new friendships and sometimes a completely new perspective on the world. Mobility is what makes many of those experiences possible. We want students to have the freedom to go beyond their host city, meet people across borders and make as much as possible of their time abroad.”.
Maja Gozdowska, Treasurer at the Erasmus Student Network, said: “The Erasmus Generation is constantly on the move. They are curious, open to new cultures and eager to connect across borders. Affordable mobility is an important part of that experience and partners like FlixBus help students make Europe more accessible and turn opportunities for exchange into real journeys and connections”.
