Goal of the event:
We wanted the Erasmus that were coming to visit Granada, from Cartagena, to see how people woth Down Syndrome are able to guide a tour at the same level as we are, and to aware how independent they can be, in order to allow them seeing that there are no differences between us.
Short description of the event:
We were invited, ESN Granada and Cartagena, to join the activity that was taking place in Cuarto Real de Santo Domingo, in Granada.
In this Activity, the guys from Granadown, a local association where Down syndrome were giving a guided tour of the place.
We joined them as part of the tour that ESN Granada was providing to the Erasmus coming on a visit to Granada.
In general, this tour was good for us, because it increased hour city tour in almost 30 minutes, discovering more history about a place most of us almost don`t know about. It was also an important exercise of awareness, because the Erasmus could see that there shouldn't be a prejuice on people with Down Syndrome.
How did your event go?:
The activity was really interesting, and the place itself was amazing, but adding such a special guide did the activity more inclusive and interesting, in the way that it was a really unusual guide.
